QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Oriole baseball team battled the raindrops, along with the Onsted Wildcats, in their season opener Tuesday, and dropped a 10-7 decision in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader. The second game was rained out.
Onsted led 7-0 before Quincy scored all their runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Wildcats broke the tie with one run in the fifth and two in the sixth.
JJ Wright and Kale Dirschell both doubled, Joe Gray hit a two-run single, and Cobee Stevens added an RBI single for the Orioles, who will host Hillsdale on Thursday.
