Pauletta J. Teachout, 90, of Coldwater passed away Monday, April 6, 2026 at LakeHouse of Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
A gathering of family and friends will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A private burial will take place at Lockwood Cemetery at a later date.
Pauletta was born November 19, 1935 in Coldwater, Michigan to George Ivey and Pauline (Killinger) Ivey. She later met and married Ronald “Sam” Teachout December 13, 1970. He preceded her in death June 11, 2024.
Pauletta spent many years working as a key punch operator in the offices of Federal-Mogul and later worked at Voltek in Coldwater where she retired. She was a member of Lockwood Community Church.
Pauletta enjoyed playing bingo and, in her earlier years, ice skating and spending time at the lake. She loved to cook and can, with jams and pickles among her specialties. Pauletta had a gift for making new friends and was loved by all who knew her. Her contagious laugh and kind spirit will be deeply missed. Pauletta took great pride in caring for her family and will be remembered as a sweet and loving woman.
Pauletta is survived by her son, Brian (Sue) Barnes and her daughter, Janet (Martin) Landis; her daughter-in-law Janean Teachout; her brother, Reggie Ivey; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Barb Snow.
Pauletta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald “Sam” Teachout; her children, David Teachout and Michael Barnes; and her brothers, Sam Ivey and Revel Ivey.
Memorial donations may be directed to Lockwood Community Church.
