COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Plans are in the works to renovate the old Family Fare store at 410 North Marshall.
The Coldwater City Council Monday night scheduled a public hearing for April 27 on an application for an Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Abatement (OPRA) Certificate from Kev Kor Enterprises.
City Assessor and Neighborhood Services Director Samantha Albright said the Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Act Committee reviewed the proposed rehabilitation project last Wednesday.
Albright said after reviewing OPRA the application from Kev Kor, the project does qualifies for the full 12 year reduction in tax base
Approximately 30 to 50 positions will be retained/or, construction jobs will be needed during the rehabilitation project.
Albright says once approved construction would start in June and be completed by the end of October or the first of November.
The Family Fare store in the Fairfield Plaza closed for good in May 2021.

business(es) will be going into that building when the reconstruction is finished?
