BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Community Schools Board of Education officially appointed Frank Barker to fill a vacant seat during its regularly scheduled meeting this week.
Barker, a resident of the area since 1998, currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Police for the Bronson Police Department and brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience to the role.
Barker will occupy the seat previously held by Jordon Houtz, which is set to expire in December 2028. However, because this was an interim appointment, the seat will be included on the ballot for the upcoming November 2026 election.
