LANSING, MI (WTVB) – John Lindsey, the recently retired managing director of the St. Joseph County Road Commission, has been honored with a Distinguished Service Award by the County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan at the 2026 CRA Highway Conference.
The award recognizes his outstanding dedication to advancing Michigan’s county road and bridge systems, a career that included serving as director of fleet and facilities in 2010 before becoming managing director in 2018.
During his tenure, Lindsey was credited with modernizing agency operations by consolidating outdated facilities, securing new funding sources, and fostering greater countywide communication and cooperation.
His leadership left a lasting impact on the region’s transportation infrastructure. He is the father of Coldwater State Senator Jonathon Lindsey.
