BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Track teams from Bronson, Quincy, and Union City hit the road Wednesday for dual and double-dual meets, while the results from Coldwater’s dual meet from Tuesday are in.
TUESDAY: Coldwater at Jackson Northwest
BLACKMON TOWNSHIP, MI – The Cardinals defeated Jackson Northwest 69-25 in the boys meet and 62-33 in the girls meet. The meet was called with five events remaining as thundershowers moved into the Jackson area; subsequent computer issues delayed the publication of the results by a day.
Coldwater’s boys won ten of the twelve completed events; Bennett McDonald was a double winner in the 110m hurdles and the long jump. The Lady Cards were victorious in nine of the twelve contested events; Miyah Moore won the 100m and 400m while Samantha Bernard took first in the 100m hurdles and the long jump

Bronson at Reading
READING, MI – Bronson traveled to Reading for a Big 8 dual meet. No team scores were made available, but the Vikings won eleven boys events and five girls events.
Stevie Wilson was a triple winner for the Bronson boys, winning both hurdle races and the long jump. Double winners include Jovani Ramos in the 800m and 1600m and Brayden Fritz in the shot put and discus. For the Lady Vikes, Miriam Sanchez was a triple winner in the 400m, 800m, and 1600m.

Concord and Quincy at Springport
SPRINGPORT, MI – Quincy traveled to Springport for a double-dual meet with Concord. The Oriole boys defeated Springport 107-30 and Concord 86-50. The Lady Orioles defeated Springport 96-29 but lost to Concord 72-58.
Clayton Benson was a triple winner for the Quincy boys, winning both hurdle races and the 100m. Double winners include Chayse Jensen in the 800m and 1600m and Noah Rufenacht in the high jump and long jump. For the Oriole girls, Brookelyn Parker won both hurdle events, and Addison Hasten placed first in the shot put and discus.

Stockbridge and Union City at Maple Valley
VERMONTVILLE, MI – Union City made the long trek to Maple Valley for a double-dual meet with Stockbridge. The Chargers tied Maple Valley in the boys meet 63-63 and lost to Stockbridge 75-52. The Lady Chargers were victorious over Maple Valley 100.5-35.5 and Stockbridge 94-42.
Getting first place finishes in the boys meet for Union City were Cameron Cayo in the 100m and the 4x800m relay team of Alex Bair, Luke McKown, Noah June, and Colson Burdick. The Charger girls swept the relay races and won four of the five field events; double winners include Attica Hoath in the 100m and 200m, and Kylie Creech in the hurdle races.

Union City will welcome Coldwater, Quincy, and six other schools to Alumni Field Friday for the Union City Invitational. Bronson returns to action next Wednesday at Concord for a Big 8 double dual with Stockbridge.
