MENDON, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Oriole softball team went 1-2 Saturday at the Mendon Hornet Round Robin Invitational. Quincy lost to the host school 17-3 in five innings and to Gobles 11-7. In their final game, they snapped a ten-game slide with a 17-7 win against White Pigeon in five innings.
Against Mendon, Quincy was kept off the scoreboard until the fifth and final frame. Josi Parker drove in two runs and Hannah Brown went 2-for-2 at the plate.
Against Gobles, Mackenzie Sattison was 2-for-3 with a double, Parker had an RBI double, and Riley Myers had two RBIs.
Against White Pigeon, Gabby Norris went 3-for-4 with a triple and 2 RBIs, Parker added an RBI triple, and Ary’Annah Freeman doubled and drove in two runs. Hannah Brown, the winning pitcher, recorded six strikeouts.
The Orioles are now 5-10 on the season and will host Union City on Tuesday.
