BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The postponement of Monday’s Big 8 boys golf jamboree at Turtle Creek Golf Club forced the conference’s athletic directors to get creative when it came to a makeup date, given the lack of common open dates remaining in the season. Ultimately, they decided on a two-fer: the Union City jamboree would be made up Thursday morning, with the teams relocating to Bella Vista Golf Course for the originally scheduled Bronson jamboree later that afternoon.
UNION CITY JAMBOREE AT TURTLE CREEK GOLF CLUB
BURLINGTON, MI – Only nine points separated the top three teams at the rescheduled Union City jamboree. Springport won with a team score of 165. Stockbridge was second with a 169, just four strokes back, and Quincy was third with a 174, just nine off the pace. Bronson was fifth with a 214, and Union City finished sixth with a 223.
Quincy’s Braylon Estlow led the way with his nine-hole round of 38, which was good enough to join a three-way tie for first place. Carson Craven tied for fifth with his 41, Jax Sergent shot a 47, and Bo Tissue carded a 48.
For Bronson, Andrew McConn and Layne Arver both shot rounds of 53, while Naz Salesman and Drew Shoup each fired 54.
Union City’s Blayne Crance tied for eighth with his round of 44. Luke Arlt carded a 53, Gabe Mowry shot a 54, and Henry Case had a 72.

BRONSON JAMBOREE AT BELLA VISTA GOLF COURSE
OVID TOWNSHIP, MI – A bit of a shocker at the Bronson jamboree. Stockbridge won with a team score of 174, with Quincy finishing runner-up with their 181. Springport, who had won the first four jamborees of the season, came in third with a score of 185, four strokes behind the Orioles. Bronson was fifth with a 220, while Union City was sixth with a 228.
Quincy landed four golfers within the top ten at Bella Vista. Carson Craven carded a 43 to finish fourth, and Jax Sergent was right behind with a fifth-place score of 44. Braylon Estlow was part of a three-way tie for seventh with a 46, and Bo Tissue was part of a four-way tie for tenth with a 48.
Bronson’s Layne Arver was also part of the four-way tie for tenth with his 48. Drew Shoup shot a 55, Joseph Bir fired a 58, and Andrew McConn carded a 59.
For Union City, Blayne Crance shot a 50, Gabe Mowry had a 54, and Luke Arlt and Zoey Fruin each fired rounds of 62.
