Timothy P. Boan, 71, of Quincy passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at Insight Hospital and Medical Center Coldwater.
No services will be held at this time. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy at a later date.
An evening of love, stories, and supper will be held Friday, May 22, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Union Church in Quincy and will be provided by his children.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
He was born November 29, 1954 in Haverhill, MA to Richard and Mary (Skelley) Boan.
Tim graduated from Hartland High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He was a longtime mechanic who excelled in his career, though he famously disliked working on his own vehicles. An avid outdoorsman, Tim enjoyed searching for morels, pointing out asparagus patches, hunting, fishing, and finding trees to re-home. He also loved woodworking and cheering on the Detroit Lions.
Above all, Tim was a loving father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He especially loved family dinners filled with heartfelt conversation.
Survivors include four children, Kimberly (Benji) Leslie of Davisburg, MI, Tammy (Rich) Miller of Oxford, MI, Timothy Boan of Quincy and Mellisa (Nick) Rice of Quincy; grandchildren, Carson and Cora Leslie, Anna Miller, Michael, Katie, Quinn, Lilah and Liam Boan, Samantha (Jason) Campbell, and Mason, Makenna, Isabella and Austin Rice; siblings, Michael (P.D.) Boan, Mary (Damon) Murray, Susie (J.P.) Patch, Patty & Nancy and Linda (Mark) Giangrande and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Nicholas; grandson, Colton and brother, Richard.
