COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – They were able to dodge the raindrops Tuesday at the Coldwater Golf Course as Quincy hosted the final Big 8 Conference jamboree of the season. The host Orioles finished fourth with a team score of 189, just one shot behind third-place Concord. Union City was fifth with their score of 199, and Bronson finished sixth with their 218. Stockbridge won the jamboree by seven strokes over Springport, 171 to 177.
For Quincy, Braylon Estlow finished in a three-way tie for sixth with a 9-hole score of 44, while Bo Tissue was part of a three-way tie for tenth with his round of 46. Carson Craven shot a 48, and Jax Sergent carded a 51.
Union City’s Blayne Crance had a breakthrough performance. He finished second with a score of 38, just one shot behind the medalist from Stockbridge. Gabe Mowry was part of the three-way tie for tenth with his 46, Luke Arlt fired a 56, and Kelub Miller shot a 59.
For Bronson, Andrew McConn shot a 52, Naz Salesman and Drew Shoup each fired a 53, and Joseph Bir carded a 60.
Bronson, Quincy, and Union City will participate in the Springport Invitational Thursday at Burr Oak Golf Club.
