BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Bronson dropped both of their games Saturday at their Polish Classic tournament. The Vikings lost to Hanover-Horton 12-2 and fell to Clinton 17-6 in five innings.
Collin Webb hit an RBI double, and Max Byler went 2-for-4 with an RBI groundout for Bronson’s only runs against Hanover-Horton. Joe Fair also doubled. On the hill, Byler struck out 11 in five innings of work.
Against Clinton, Warner Wotta went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBIs. Collin Webb was 2-for-3 with a 2 RBIs, and Byler added a double.
The Vikings fell to 17-12 overall and will close out Big 8 play Monday at Reading.
JACKSON, MI – Quincy went 0-2 at the Al Glick Classic in Jackson on Saturday, losing to Columbia Central and Jonesville by identical 4-1 scores.
The Orioles scored an unearned run in the third against Columbia Central. JJ Wright had his team’s only hit.
Against Jonesville, Quincy had just three hits: Joe Gray and Christian Craven singled, while Wright doubled. Bryson Estlow had an RBI sacrifice fly for the team’s lone score.
The Orioles dropped to 12-11-2 and will close out Big 8 play Tuesday at home against Concord.
