EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The pay for Michigan State University president Kevin Guskiewicz is now over one-million-dollars a year.
The MSU Board of Trustees held a special meeting Sunday night to approve the pay raise for Guskiewicz, doubling his salary.
It makes Guskiewicz one of the highest-paid public university presidents in the U.S.
Trustee Sandy Pierce says they felt they had to act quickly because the president was being recruited by other universities and they wanted to keep him in East Lansing.
