LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Department of Transportation will be opening up as many road projects as they can for Memorial Day weekend.
MDOT says lane restrictions will be removed starting at 3 p.m. today until 6 a.m. Tuesday on 100 of 168 projects.
Over 1.3-million Michiganders are expected to travel at least 50-miles from their home for the weekend.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer says as soon as Memorial Day is over, “we’ll get right back to work fixing the damn roads.”
