COLDWATER, MI – Coldwater hosted nineteen teams in a Division 2 Regional at the Coldwater Golf Course. The season came to an end for the Cardinals as they finished eighth with a team score of 324. Vicksburg won the Regional with a 305, followed by Parma Western at 307, and St. Joseph at 312. The top three teams advance to the State Finals, along with the top three individuals not on a qualifying team.
Coldwater’s Jack Aker fired a 76, which was good for seventh individually. He found himself in a four-way tie for the third and final individual qualifier slot. To break the tie, all four played a sudden victory playoff that was won by Jackson’s Leo Nguyen on the fifth playoff hole. Aker bowed out on the fourth playoff hole to end his very successful season.
Coldwater’s Dracyn Foster and Jake Fosdick both shot 81, Joe Searls had an 86, and Kolton Rice rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with an 87.
