The investigation took a critical turn after officials analyzed GPS data from the vessel, which reportedly contradicts the timeline and location provided by her husband, Brian Hooker.
Brian originally informed investigators that his wife fell off their eight-foot dinghy while the couple was traveling between Hope Town and Elbow Cay. According to Coast Guard officials, the newly uncovered tracking discrepancies mean that rescue teams spent days searching the wrong maritime sector, prompting this urgent bid to resume operations in the correct geographic area.
As international coordination efforts get underway to launch the secondary search, Brian Hooker has firmly maintained his innocence and denied any involvement in his wife’s disappearance.
