COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Drivers in Michigan are paying 27-cents less per gallon to fill their tanks than last week. Triple-A Michigan says the statewide average is now at $4.38 a gallon, 20-cents less than last month and a dollar-28 more than last year.
Drivers in Branch County and St Joseph are paying a little less than the state average, AAA says as of this morning both counties are at $4.32 per gallon, In Hillsdale County drivers are paying $4.15 per gallon, while in Calhoun County this morning is in line with the state average of $4.34 per gallon.
The lowest prices remain across the state line in Indiana, where Steuben County has some of the lowest pump prices in the entire nation with an average of $3.45 per gallon, but a number of stations in Angola have dropped to as low as $3.36 per gallon today.
It remains to be seen if Indiana governor Mike Braun will extend the states gas tax holiday that is set to expire on June 7.
