BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A winter storm that had National Weather Service forecasters guessing right up until the last minute which way it was going to track spared Branch County for the most part late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Branch County went back-and-forth between a Winter Storm Watch and a Winter Weather Advisory as the storm approached.
Forecasts were calling for Branch County to get between four and seven inches of snow. But most locations got anywhere from two to three inches with the lighter amounts in the eastern part of the county.
Heavier amount of snow were reported to the south in Indiana.
Auburn reported six inches of snow while nearly eight inches was reported in the Fort Wayne area.
