COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Tibbits Professional Summer Theatre officially kicks off its 2026 mainstage season tonight, , with the opening of the retro musical The Marvelous Wonderettes.
This jukebox comedy takes audiences on a nostalgic journey through the 1950s and ’60s. Directed and choreographed by Marryn Barney in her directorial debut, the show follows four high school friends—Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy—as they sing their way through their 1958 Senior Prom and reunite a decade later.

Audiences can expect a lively, harmony-filled score featuring classic hits like “Lollipop,” “Mr. Sandman,” and “Dream Lover”.
Sponsored by the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU), the professional production features a national cast including Maggie Titus, Maya Narayan, Carina Milano, and Belle Fockler.
Opening weekend performances are scheduled for tonight and Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m., with additional matinee and evening showtimes running through June 13.

Doors open one hour prior to showtime for guests wishing to visit the art gallery or grab a drink at the Ghost Light Bar.
