COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The threat of rain Saturday morning is causing the modification of a couple of events scheduled around Branch County.
Organizers of the annual John Rohloff Coldwater Noon Exchange Club Duck Race say while the race will go on as scheduled just after 1:00 p.m. Saturday, kids games at Waterworks Park have been canceled.
In addition, the raffle baskets have been moved inside Hope Cafe on Chicago Street in downtown Coldwater. They will be on display and raffle tickets, as well as duck race tickets, will be sold until 7:00 p.m. Friday, and then again Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Duck race tickets will also be sold at the pavilion at Waterworks Park beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the shortly before the race.
The top prize for the duck race is $2026 cash, donated by Dutcher Funeral Homes of Coldwater and bronson.
The annual Batterson Memorial Car and Craft Show, which had been scheduled for Saturday in Union City, has also been postponed until Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m.
