COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Partnerships are helping the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Agency get through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Health Officer Rebecca Burns reported to the Agency’s Board of Health last Thursday these efforts with local hospitals, providers, schools, business and citizens are allowing them to get vaccine into the arms of our highest risk residents.
She pointed out their partnership last week with Hillsdale Hospital at the vaccine clinic in Jonesville as well as their partnership with ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital that is helping to get PreK-12 educational staff vaccinated in Branch County and their partnership with Sturgis Hospital to vaccinate first responders, police, fire, and others in the Sturgis area.
They have also had help with Three Rivers Health to help vaccinate seniors at the St. Joseph Commission On Aging facility in Three Rivers.
Burns also said a civic minded group of individuals called the C19 Relief Task Force in Branch County reached out about purchasing an ultra-cold freezer for the Agency and they have accepted the gift. The freezer has been ordered as well as equipment to monitor the temperature of the unit.
