COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Defense Academy (MDA) will hold a Women’s Defensive Shooting Fundamentals course, this Saturday, June 13.
Operating under the motto “Be Trained. Be Prepared. Protect What Matters Most,” this specialized, women-only seminar will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
Designed explicitly to build firearm knowledge and self-protection skills, the course provides a supportive, empowering, and completely judgment-free training atmosphere where women can learn alongside their peers.
The registration fee is $50.00 per student, making it an affordable local opportunity for everyday individuals looking to build real-world confidence without intimidation.
The comprehensive, introductory curriculum is tailored for all skill levels, meaning no prior experience is required to enroll.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction covering core subjects such as firearm safety fundamentals, basic marksmanship skills, live-fire range training, and field stripping and cleaning instruction.
By guiding students through every step of defensive pistol handling, instructors aim to foster practical safety habits and situational awareness.
