COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – How hot was it Friday?? Not as hot as initially forecast.
While the National Weather Service had a forecast high in the low 90’s, the official high for Coldwater at the Branch County Memorial Airport on Friday was 89°, which was recorded at about 4:30 pm.
The heat index topped off at 91. That’s plenty hot but not dangerously hot like the forecast is calling for on Saturday with afternoon heat index readings near 110.
It was sultry overnight and very uncomfortable for those without air conditioning. The temperature was 81° at midnight. The overnight low was 74 before the mercury started its climb when the sun came up.
