COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There were a staggering amount of car-deer crashes reported to Branch County 911 Central Dispatch Thursday morning.
At least seven were reported in a five hour period starting just after 2:00 a.m..
Normally, those numbers happen in the fall at around the time of firearm deer hunting season.
Five of the car-deer crashes were reported between 5:25 a.m. and 6:37 a.m. Thursday morning, just as daylight was breaking.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department had to handle four of the car-deer crash reports.
