COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Trustees approved a master agreement with the Branch Intermediate Organization Wednesday.
Business Manager Diane Shiery said it covers both certified and non-certified members.
Under terms of the agreement, there will be raises of two-and-a-quarter percent along with STEPS increases.
The board also approved a contract with Michigan Education Association members. The actions came after the board discussed negotiations with the two unions in an executive session.
In addition, the board approved other contracts for administrators, administrative assistants and with Perry Personnel to have John Howard serve as Truancy Officer.
Contracts for certified and early education staff were also approved for the 2018-2019 school year.
Wednesday’s meeting was the last for Superintendent Joe Lopez, who will be retiring at the end of July.
Kristine Jenkins will be taking over as Superintendent Monday.
The board also approved an employment agreement for Tonie McMaster to serve as the B.I.S.D. Health Science Program Manager. She has 19 years of experience and previously worked at Kellogg Community College.
