Irene V. Rogers, 97, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 22, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Siby George officiating.
Visitation will be held at Dutcher Funeral Home Monday 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m., with the Rosary to begin at 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Irene was born December 29, 1928 in Detroit, MI to John & Helen (Dobek) Spetman and graduated from Cleary Business College in Ypsilanti. She married Jerry J. Rogers July 1, 1950 in Hillsdale, MI. After 75 years of marriage, he preceded her in death February 11, 2025.
Irene worked at Kiddie Brush and Toy in Jonesville then spent most of her career as an Administrative Assistant in the banking industry. She worked many years for First National Bank in Quincy which eventually became PNC in Coldwater and later retired.
Irene was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, the Coldwater Eagles and the Business and Professional Women’s Club. She enjoyed knitting, reading and word search puzzles. Irene was a devoted wife and mother and treasured time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her children Tom (Sue) Rogers of Battle Creek, Celeste “Ann” (Don) Vrablic of Coldwater, Don (Deb) Rogers of Coldwater, John (Suzanne) Rogers of Pendleton, SC, Judy (Keith Lawrence) Rogers of Homer, Jim (Laura) Rogers of Royal Oak, Teresa Kubasiak of Coldwater, Suzie (Scott) Van Blarcom of Leesburg, FL; her grandchildren Derek Rogers, Allison (Tim) Budzinski, Rob (Mersades) Johnson, Alicia Johnson, Sheila (Les Gebbink) Johnson, Nick (Jaime) Rogers, Tony (Blair) Rogers, Mike Rogers, Abigail (Jake) Chmara, Bridget Rogers, Kara (Bryan Conant) Kubasiak, Katie (Zack) Beaudry, Brittnee Van Blarcom, Brooke Van Blarcom; her great grandchildren Addison Budzinski, Lincoln Budzinski, Ella Brown, Brenna Rogers, Jace Rogers, Charlotte Rogers, Jack Rogers, Brady Beaudry, Maya Beaudry; her niece Holly Patterson and special friend Tonya Curtis.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary, her son-in-law Mike Kubasiak, her brother Edwin Spetman and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Louis and Jeanne Groholski.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s or Maple Lawn.
