LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A framework for the Fiscal Year 2027 state budget has been reached by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, House Speaker Matt Hall, and Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks.
Hall said the agreement was reached late Monday night.
The Richland Republican says the budget includes no tax increases, no raid of the state’s Rainy Day Fund, and schools will get an increase in funding.
Hall says the budget does not include a property tax cut, but he says conversations on that are still happening.
