QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Marble Chain of Lakes Improvement Association is sponsoring the final boater safety education class of the summer this Saturday, at Sunset Cove Resort in Quincy.
The one-day course will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST at the resort located at 931 Sunset Drive.
Lunch will be provided for all participants as part of the sponsored event.
The NASBLA-approved course satisfies Michigan’s boater education requirements and is recognized nationwide. It is required for most motorboat operators born on or after July 1, 1996, and for personal watercraft (Jet Ski) operators born after December 31, 1978.
The class is recommended for ages 12 and older and covers essential topics including boating laws, navigation rules, emergency preparedness, and safe boating practices. Pre-registration is required through the link: https://michigan.storefront.kalkomey.com/em/events/10408.
