COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- Unlike in the past, the 21st annual Branch County Relay for Life will be a 12 hour event this year.
It kicks off Saturday morning with the opening ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
Event Lead Cheryl Back says 14 teams will be taking part in Saturday’s Branch County Relay for Life, which raises money for the American Cancer Society.
There will be family activities throughout the day.
Caregivers will be honored at 5:30 p.m. followed by a speech from Coldwater High School Principal and cancer survivor Bill Milnes. After a catered dinner in Pierce Hall for caregivers and survivors, the luminaria ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m., with the closing ceremonies at 9:30 p.m..
