COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Beginning tomorrow, the fourth season of The Corner Farmers’ Market. begins in downtown Coldwater The market will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. each Saturday through September 8 in the northwest Four Corners Park due to parking lot construction on the southwest corner.
Vendors at this weeks’ market include Butternut Ridge Beef, Jam Man, K’s Acres, Farmers Daughters, Union City Rotary Maple Syrup, Martha Newberry Baked Goods, Naomi Graber Baked Goods, Cloves Copraland, Ideas Galore, American Floral Trend, Just Bee Cause, and Snow Lake Crafts.
Live musical entertainment Saturday will be provided by Randall Hazelbaker and chalk artist Rebecca Greenamyer.
Vendors at the market will provide locally grown products like fresh fruits, vegetables, maple syrup, meat, eggs, dairy, flowers, plants, baked goods, dry goods, and prepared foods. A small percentage of the market will include non-food products with the idea that the the item must be of high quality and locally made by the vendor. No mass produced items will be allowed. Vendors can chose to commit week-by-week or for full-season commitment to attend the market each Saturday.
Sponsors this year include the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority, Star of the West Milling, ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital, Maroa Farms, Chris Pierce Appraisals, and Cold Heading.
Volunteer committee members organizing the 2018 market include Luke Bovee, Audrey Tappenden and Cayden Sparks of the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce, Val Albright of MSU Extension, Georgia Balsley Hargett, and Courtney Dirschell of 2nd Story Marketing.
