Micheal G. Bowerman, 65, of Noblesville, IN and Bronson, MI passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 28, 2026 at his home in Noblesville.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at East Gilead Cemetery in Gilead Township, MI.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Mike’s farm in East Gilead.
Micheal was born September 10, 1960 in Coldwater, MI to Richard & Vonda (Stryker) Bowerman. He married JerrySue Slaughter August 19, 1988 in Denton, TX at the Justice of the Peace, and later celebrated their marriage with friends and family September 5, 1988 in East Gilead Twp., MI.
Micheal earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Colorado State University and spent his entire career in accounting. He worked for Wonder Bread/Hostess for 38 years in Texas, Oklahoma and Indiana, retiring in 2025 as a Manufacturing Controller for the company.
Micheal was an avid outdoorsman who embraced every opportunity to enjoy nature. He loved hunting and fishing, spending time camping and riding his ATV. Mike found great satisfaction in spending his free time, searching for things to fix up and repair. His love for the land led him to purchase a farm in Bronson, MI and do what he loved most. Farm. It was his greatest passion and where he was the happiest.
Mike is survived by his wife JerrySue; his children Richard John (Jenna) of Cincinnati, OH, Lauren Katherine of Noblesville, IN, Michael Roy of Anderson, IN; his mother Vonda Bowerman of Bronson; his siblings Ted Bowerman of Bronson, Tamara (Tim) Schulte of Longtree, CO; his nephew Luke Schulte and niece Jessica Schulte both of Longtree, CO.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard Bowerman.
