COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Bowlers split with Marshall on Tuesday afternoon at Midway Lanes as the boys lost their first match of the season while the girls improved to 3-0.
The Boys match ended in a 15-15 tie but Marshall won the one game Baker Roll off 220-169 as the Cardinals record dropped to 2-1.
Coldwater won the two regular games 778-752 and 756 to 743 to take totals 1534-1495. Marshall won the both Baker games 130-177 and 156-185 as well the totals 286-362.
Coldwater was led on the night by Senior Dayten Yearling with a 224 game and a 369 two game series. Austin Johnson chipped in with a 191 game.
In the Girls match up, the young Coldwater squad kept up their winning ways as they defeated Marshall 27-3. Coldwater took game one 805-709, game two 711-686 and totals 1516-1395, they also took both Baker games 172-117 and 156-143 for totals of 328-260.
Coldwater was led by Sophomore Violet Waltke with a 200 game.
The Coldwater boys JV team got their first action of the season, defeating Marshall 29-1. Coldwater took both regular games 678-511 and 827-555, for totals of 1505-1066. The JV’s also took both Baker games 127-100 and 176-137 for a total of 297-237. Coldwater was led by Andon Parshall with a 176 and a 215 for a 2 game series of 391.
The Girls JV team faced a Marshall squad that did not have enough to field a full team.
Also in boys bowling on Monday afternoon, Bronson defeated Burr Oak 26-4. No details were provided.
