COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County United Way has named Nate Cranson of Bronson as its new Executive Director.
Cranson steps into the leadership role bringing extensive local business management experience, community involvement, fundraising expertise, and a proven track record of relationship-building to the organization.
Having owned and managed a successful area business, Cranson has developed a deep understanding of local needs and a personal philosophy centered on investing in the community. His primary focus will be directing the organization’s core local pillars of health, youth opportunities, early childhood literacy, and financial security.
The Branch County United Way recently concluded its annual campaign by successfully raising $210,553.53 from 734 individual local donors.
Furthermore, the organization’s signature fundraising event, the Power of the Purse, raised $58,474.31 at the Dearth Community Center to directly benefit early childhood literacy programs such as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Cranson replaces Kevin Sheppard who stepped down from the leadership role back in May. Their next big scheduled event is the 13th annual Color Fun Run August 22.
