COLON,MI (WTVB) -The 7th Annual Magic City Grill Fest is officially returning to Colon, weekend, , transforming downtown into a live-fire arena of smoke and summer flavor.
Hosted by the Colon American Legion , the annual event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Aspiring backyard pitmasters and seasoned professional teams from across the region will go head-to-head in a fierce culinary battle. Competitors will push their outdoor cooking skills to the limit across three mandatory food categories: pork ribs, chicken wings, and ground beef sliders.

For a $20 Taster’s Ticket will grant you access to unlimited tasting rounds, allowing community members to sample the various barbecue techniques and vote for the prestigious Taster’s Choice Award.
Taylor says they have also enhanced the judging portion of the contest
The family-friendly festival will also feature a cornhole tournament, live raffles, and a post-party celebration, with all event proceeds directly benefiting local veterans and community programs.
