COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A 54th season of summer theatre at the Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater opened Thursday.
Mixed Emotions by Richard Baer is opening the season with shows scheduled through June 23. Mixed Emotions is described as a gentle yet hilarious romantic comedy about two widowed friends.
The highly-anticipated production of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar begins on June 28. This global blockbuster retells the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ from the perspective of Judas Iscariot.
Tibbits is also presenting audiences with their first opportunity to see the multi-award winning musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder which will start its run on July 19.
The comedy Resident Alien by Stuart Spencer will finish the season starting on August 2.
Along with the four Tibbits mainstage shows, the Popcorn Theatre for youngsters will be presented every Friday and Saturday between June 22 and August 4.
