BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Former Quincy Community Schools teacher and Information Technology Director Jason Ferrell was given the same sentence in Calhoun County last Thursday that he got in Branch County in January 2018.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the 45-year-old Ferrell was ordered to serve concurrent sentences of between seven years, 11 months and 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections after he entered no contest pleas to two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct.
Ferrell was charged and convicted in Branch and Calhoun Counties for a sexual relationship he had with a former female student.
The Michigan Department of Corrections website says Ferrell is serving his time in the Carson City Correctional Facility. His earliest release date is March 2025. The latest he can get out is April 2032.
