COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Hudson, Indiana man with a lengthy criminal record was ordered to serve between two to five years in prison Monday after he entered into a plea agreement with the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office.
34-year-old Aaron Loffer entered a guilty plea to an amended count of receiving and concealing stolen property between $1,000 and $20,000. In exchange for his plea, the original charges of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle, operating and maintaining a methamphetamine lab, fourth degree arson and felony firearm were dismissed by prosecutors.
Loffer was given credit for 454 days already served in jail. He must also pay $450 in restitution.
He was captured in Angola in January 2017 following a police search in two states. Loffer was wanted at the time for alleged crimes over a 13 month period.
Indiana on line court records show Loffer’s criminal record goes all the way back to 2002.
