FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A traffic stop by an Indiana State Police at the Toll Plaza near Fremont led to the arrest early Monday morning of two persons on multiple charges relating to methamphetamine, heroin and other illegal drugs.
A 2000 Ford pick-up truck was pulled over for equipment and registration violations at the Toll Plaza near Fremont. Trooper Zarek Finley smelled burnt marijuana coming from the passenger compartment and subsequently conducted a search of the vehicle.
The trooper allegedly found more than 100 grams of alleged methamphetamine, along with heroin, marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.
Taken into custody were 58 year old Arnold J. Scott of South Bend and 18 year old Acasia J. Haynes of Mishawaka, Indiana. They were both taken to the Steuben County Jail and booked on numerous preliminary charges:
