COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The annual and multi year Implementation Plan from the Branch-St. Joseph Area Agency on Aging was presented to the Branch County Board of Commissioners Thursday.
Agency Coordinator Laura Sutter said the purpose of the plan before Commissioners serves as a planning document for the next fiscal year and builds upon their three year plan.
She said the Community Living Program, which is also known as Care Management, continues to be a very busy service. The program still has a waiting list and there were a record number of referrals from Adult Protective Services.
Sutter says they are still working to establish an adult day program in Branch County.
They also plan to further their work to prevent elder/vulnerable adult abuse, neglect and exploitation. The agency is planning no major changes to services over the next year.
A resolution of support was brought forward by Commissioners for their meeting next Tuesday.
