COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County government, along with the Southwest Michigan Solid Waste Consortium, will be hosting a scrap tire recycling event Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Human Services Building on Marshall Road.
Hours will be from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon and it’s only for Branch County residents.
The event is being put on thanks to a Michigan Department of Environmental Quality Scrap Tire Grant.
Passenger, pickup and semi tires will be collected at no charge.
The charge for collecting tractor tires will range from $15 to $75 depending on the size of the rim.
Extra charges are cash only. The exact amount will be paid at the drop off.
The number of tires dropped off is being limited to 10 for cars and five for semi tractors. It will be on a first come first serve basis.
