READING,MI (WTVB) – Republican gubernatorial candidate John James is scheduled to hold a “Get Out the Vote” rally in Reading tonight, as part of his campaign efforts leading up to next Tuesday’s primary election.
This evening’s event is the latest addition to James’s statewide tour, which has been expanded to increase voter contact in the closing days before the primary.
According to his campaign announcements, the rally is being hosted by state Representatives Jennifer Wortz and Nancy Jenkins-Arno and will take place at 6p.m. coinciding with the town’s ongoing “Reading Summer Festival Days”.
James is scheduled to take his tour to Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland, Hudsonville, and Zeeland on Saturday, the latest polls show James with a sizable lead over Perry Johnson for the republican nomination.
