COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Traffic on southbound I-69 in Coldwater was slowed down for nearly 2 hours early today because of a semi-tractor trailer accident. The crash was reported to Branch County Central Dispatch at around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday.
The semi left the highway, ending up in the median just south of US 12. The accident was initially reported to Branch County 911 Central Dispatch as an unknown crash meaning injuries were possible, but it turned out nobody was hurt.
The Coldwater Fire Department responded to the scene where Michigan State Police assisted in traffic.
For a short time, the highway was closed down completely to allow for removal of the semi from the median.
No further details are available from Coldwater City Police, who investigated the accident.
