VICKSBURG, MI (WTVB) – Longtime Bronson City Manager Brandon Mersman is one of four finalists for the Vicksburg Village Manager position.
Village officials will interview the four September 1, after narrowing down the field from 24 applicants. The other three also come from southwest Michigan, and are Amy Cordes, Village Manager, Village of Lawerence; Christopher Tapper, former Village Manager, Village of Decatur; and Erik Wilson, former City Manager, City of Wayland.
Mersman has 14 years of municipal experience spanning village, township, and city government.
Current Vicksburg Village Manager Jim Mallery, who has been in that position since January 2016, has announced he will retire at the end of December 2026.
The Village of Vicksburg, located in Kalamazoo County, has a population around 4,000, compared to 2,300 in Bronson.
