HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – Hillsdale County Sheriff Scott Hodshire has been charged with misconduct in office and obstruction of justice, according to Michigan court records.
A warrant for the felony charges was authorized on August 19, 2026, by a magistrate with the 2B District Court following a petition filed by Detective Sergeant Travis Pohl.
According to the documents, the listed offense date for both felony counts stems from an incident on February 18, 2026.
Following the authorization of the warrant, Hodshire was released on Monday, after posting a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
