BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Farmer’s Day at the Branch Area Careers Center draws a large crowd every year on President’s Day but that won’t be the case this year.
The 2021 Farmer’s Day will not be held next Monday due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the protocols on the amount of people who can gather indoors.
To make up for the loss of Branch County Farmer’s Day as well as Ag Action Day and Southwest Michigan Horticulture Days, Michigan State University Extension is hosting the MI Ag Ideas to Grow With Conference which will be held virtually between February 15 and 19, 2021.
M.S.U. Extension says the week long program will encompass many aspects of the agricultural industry. While this program will be offered virtually this year, it will continue to provide the same educational information to the public.
Tracks will use the Zoom platform and will focus on agriculture, food safety and home gardening.
There is no cost to register, but on line pre-registration is required at msu.edu.
