Peggy Sue Bogucki, 71, of Reading passed away at home Monday, August 31, 2026.
There will be a private graveside service at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home George White Chapel in Reading.
She was born in Hillsdale July 7, 1955 to Lloyd Dean and Dorothy Pauline (Fry) Headley. She married Karl Bogucki September 11, 1982 and he preceded her in death March 27, 2007.
Peggy graduated from Reading High School class of 1973 and went on to attend classes at Central Michigan University. She worked many years as a mail carrier for the USPS until her retirement.
Peggy was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale and was strong in her faith. She was a master woodworker and enjoyed all kinds of crafts, and sewing. She was an avid gardener, taking pride in her beautiful flower beds and well kept yard. Peggy enjoyed a good book, or doing puzzles with her family.
Survivors include her son, Mark (Ashley) Bogucki; grandchildren, Scott Curey, Nate Reed, David Reed, and Conner Bogucki; siblings, Arla (Dave) Watson, Cindy (Paul) Leszcynski, Rick (Ann) Headley, and Scott Headley; and Josh Cornett, who was like a son to Peggy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl Bogucki; and son, Paul Bogucki.
