BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater took part in the second Interstate 8 girls golf jamboree of the season on a steamy Wednesday afternoon at the Binder Park Golf Course and finished in second place with a team score of 197. Harper Creek, the host school, won the event with their team score of 183.
Coldwater freshman Aubrey Eberts was the individual medalist on the day. She shot a nine-hole score of 39 and finished one stroke ahead of Harper Creek’s Haley Willi. Also for the Cardinals, Alivia Arnold shot a 52 to finish 11th, Harper Anglin and McKinley Earles each carded a 53 and finished tied for 13th, Rory Simpson fired a 55, and Payton Longstreet shot a 57.
The Cardinal varsity is idle until next Tuesday’s Parma Western Invitational at Arbor Hills Golf Club. The Coldwater JV squad will participate in a jamboree Thursday at the Marshall Country Club.
