COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After much discussion during last month’s meeting, the Coldwater BPU Board of Directors gave their approval on Wednesday to an updated Purchasing Policy for the city.
City Attorney Amanda O’Boyle said in her memo to the board that the policy removed the scaled approach and implemented a five percent difference for local bidder consideration across all purchases and services subject to competitive bidding.
CBPU Director Paul Jakubczak said quality of both the contractor and materials will weigh heavily in the awarding of contracts
The Purchasing Policy was first adopted in 2023. The new policy was forwarded to the City Council for final adoption at their September 14 meeting.
