BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Cross country teams from Bronson and Quincy ran in the Small Schools Division at the Lakeview Invitational Saturday at Riverside Elementary School. The Vikings finished third in the girls race with 81 points, while the Orioles finished fourth with 87 points. Quincy took third place in the boys race with 72 points, while Bronson did not have enough runners for a team score.
Bronson senior Alonna Goodsell was first in the girls race with a time of 21:15.28. Miriam Sanchez was 15th, Piper Grigsby finished 18th, Adelynn Cosby was 24th, and Camilla Albarran placed 29th. Quincy’s Kendyl Musielewicz was second, 17 seconds off Goodsell’s pace, while Bailey Porter was 14th, Lauren Tappenden 19th, Cali Richards 26th, and Claire Carpenter 32nd.
For the Oriole boys, Hunter Walker finished fourth, Carter Feltner was ninth, Coy Wood placed 18th, Nathan Dunn was 21st, and Nolan King finished 28th. Bronson’s Adam Franks was 11th, Brayton Cosby 13th, Rylan Fincham 23rd, and Jack Ganton 27th.

Quincy will run at the JPEC (Jackson Prep and Early College) Invitational Wednesday at Ella Sharp Park. Bronson will join Quincy at Union City next Tuesday for the first Big 8 Jamboree of the season.
