BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The search for a new Bronson Polish Festival Truck Pull location continues.
The Bronson Viking Alliance requested during last month’s Bronson City Council meeting that the City look for different options for them to hold their fundraising event for the Bronson High School athletic program.
A new location for the truck pulling track will have to be found since the land on the east side of Bronson near the Dollar General Store was recently sold by the city for new residential housing.
The construction of a storage unit facility at 150 Wayne Street forced the track to be moved to the east in the spring of 2024.
Bronson City Manager Brandon Mersman suggested during Monday’s City Council meeting that city owned property at 422 Mill Street be used. He said in his report to the Council, “This is property the City is holding for possible future expansion at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. With the success of the lining and grouting project, we do not anticipate this to be a need for many years.”
Other locations that have been discussed include land south of the Bronson Senior Apartments on South Wayne Street and vacant property next to Ryan School.
