QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In Big 8 girls volleyball Thursday night, Quincy improved to 7-4-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play with a 3-1 home victory against Springport, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-8.
Ashlyn Fickle became the Orioles’ career kills leader as she tallied 10 kills, 20 assists, 18 digs, and 6 service aces. Laura Bostic added 10 kills and 3 aces, and Kora Timmons contributed 9 kills. JC Quimby had a team-high 19 digs, and Alexis Reif dished out 13 assists.
Quincy is at the Onsted Invitational Saturday.
HOMER, MI – Bronson improved to 5-11-1 overall and 3-0 in the Big 8 with a straight-set win at Homer, 25-22, 25-23, 25-18.
The Vikings will host Reading on Tuesday.
READING, MI – Union City improved to 7-3 overall, 1-2 in the Big 8, as they won at Reading 25-20, 25-19, 25-16.
The Chargers travel to Concord on Tuesday.
